Children love to compete, and love the opportunity to play against different opposition – especially when they can win a prize too! In order to give my students the opportunity to play against players other than their classmates, I run interschool competitions whereby players from different schools can compete against each other for prizes including trophies, medals and chess clocks. Playing in these competitions is a great introduction to tournament chess, and a great way to make new friends and rivals!
If your school is interested in hosting an interschool competition, I can organise one catering for the particular needs of the school, and within the available space. If your school in interested in participating in a competition, please do not hesitate to contact me about upcoming events.
